The last of the summer postcards… well done everyone!
It’s great to see so many new postcards arriving, including some from
Cardonald students who are progressing to university/art school this year!
The enthusiasm for experimentation is very encouraging… the enthusiasm
for spelling is harder to detect ![]()
Here’s a small selection of recent postcard submissions.
Summer holidays are passing quickly – Fast Track starts on 16th August, all other courses start week beginning 30th August. There’s still plenty of time to send us a postcard

You’ve seen some of the photographs so now the video produced by the very talented TV Production students and staff WhooHoo!!!
Exhibition time again and this year we decided the end of our first year as the School of Digital Media warranted a special showcase so we took ourselves down to the HUB in the Digital Media Quarter at Pacific Quay and made an exhibition of ourselves there! Advanced Diploma, HND 2 Graphics and HND 2 TV Production were the main exhibitors but we also had a selection of work from 6 HND 1 and 2 NQ students as well as work from East Renfrewshire school pupils who studied Higher Photography at Cardonald. The Graphic and photography work on display was as always totally fabulous and the TV students had a superb cinema constructed especially for the evening for a special screening of their amazing showreels. Of course we couldn’t have done this without the dedication of the Digital Media staff who all put in an extraordinary amount of work to make the opening evening such a success and we are also totally indebted to our wonderful sponsors: Cameron Presentations; MCL; Hands on; GAP Productions and East Renfrewshire Council.

One of the briefs this year was to design a range of cards and a logo promoting
GFSmith coloured papers. We’re delighted with the excellent work produced in response. Here are a couple of examples.

Arla Kean designed a calendar using her own photographs

Graham Ferguson used silhouettes for his design solution
